“My husband and I got married earlier this year and waited months to have a larger banquet reception. We didn’t plan on hiring a DJ or having any dancing initially, but after a little consideration, we decided to at least look into it.
After doing a little comparison shopping, we decided to go with Tessa because of our first impression of her: professional, super nice, and flexible/adaptable to our tastes. As our budget was nearing our cap before we researched DJs, she was understanding and willing to work with us on her fees, and we ended up at a happy place.
We didn’t offer a lot of direction early on (great clients, right?) and we were still working out details of our program up to the last day, but she took it all in stride. She helped MC part of the evening with my brother, and even brought a couple of lights when I told her that we didn’t have any dance-specific lighting.
The bulk of the evening was taken up by the 10-course banquet and her selection of background music worked perfectly- not too soothing as to put everyone to sleep, but not so raucous as to be jarring. The dance portion of the evening was a lot of fun. Tessa kept everyone willing to dance on the floor for the rest of the night!
From beginning to end, Tessa was courteous, professional, easy-to-work-with, and on-the-ball. I would definitely recommend her for any occasion!”

My guests and I couldn't be happier with Blackbook Social Club and our amazing DJ Nguyen.
Nguyen played the cocktail hour of a charity event in Beverly Hills for us. The music was beyond perfect, exactly what I asked for but better, love that! I wanted there to be a fun vibe, not too stuffy. He got the feel and concept I was going for and added a whole other element that I loved.
From day one, working Blackbook Social Club was so easy and seamless. Nguyen was professional, knowledgable, and communicative. Never was I unclear or worried about anything. I have to say this is rare when working with many vendors and DJs.
I loved this DJ company and I know you will too. It's another level of DJ-ing. Not just some guy behind a table pushing a button- which I've seen a lot these days at parties, dances, weddings. Blackbook Social Club provides DJs that are there to actually DJ, they love music and are well versed on the subject.

I had used Blackbook Social Club for a couple of my events and will be my go-to for all my future events!
DJ Tessa had done a private party I was hosting and she was awesome. Very professional and friendly. I had emailed over a list of music to play throughout the night as a guideline and she stuck to it but also had remixed versions of some of my favorites which made it more fun. Throughout the night she remained professional (in the past I'd witness DJs at events act like fools near the end of the night. not good.) and pleasant to my guests. All my guests commented on how fab the music was, it definitely added to my event.
I also had Nguyen along with Tessa deejay a corporate holiday event. Again, arrived on time and remained professional throughout the night. They were able to read the crowd (ages ranged from 30-60 yrs of age!) and kept the dance floor going - everyone happy and having fun. Tessa was also a great emcee when needed - she spoke clearly and projected! From set up to breakdown - they were fantastic!
I highly recommend Blackbook Social Club for all your party/event needs!!
